A Day of Caring is a curated experience for our partners. The program offers a variety of in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities to get involved in United Way’s work in the community, build a workplace culture of volunteerism, elevate employee engagement and team-building skills, and show off your commitment to building a stronger Windsor-Essex County.

This opportunity to make a difference is available to workplace partners and groups already investing in the community through United Way.

Volunteering-to-You

Volunteering-to-You offers fun, creative and flexible ways for your group to show some local love for your community. These opportunities allow you to get together however you see fit – in the board room or lunchroom, after work on a patio, or even on Zoom – to put together a kit for someone in your community. Kits change with the needs of the community, but some examples are:

  • Literacy Kits – include books, bookmarks and positive messages about reading for young students
  • STEAM Kits – include the materials needed for students to complete a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Math activity at home
  • Student Study Kits – have everything On Track to Success students need to ace their exams, including a personal letter

We will work with you to put the kits together, share how the kits are helping the community with your team, and get those kits in the hands of people who need them!
